In which Axe is naughty... EVEN naughtier than usual...

My yarn diet isn't doing very well.

I have been a bad bad bad girl.

I went to the beach and had promised myself that I would steer clear of the yarn store. Even though it was in my path. Like a huge honking elephant. I was going to walk right on past. That was the plan. I was going to walk right on past, not bat an eyelash. I was going to be the picture of fortitude. But then... it rained. And, honestly, what else was there to do? A girl's got to have some shelter, right?

And that was how I got Sucked Into the Void.

Once you get past the front door and end up in front of big bins overflowing with colour and gorgeous textures just begging to be touched, well... it's a slippery slope after that.

I broke down and picked up my Christmas project stash of yarns (that I know I can't get anywhere else -- at least, that's how I justify buying them :P ), which comprises the following: This first group is actually three different kinds of mohair and a funky novelty yarn that will morph into a wrap.

I've also detected of late an alarming lean in my yarn purchases and dyeing towards the purples, so I resolved to try another colour scheme. I decided to branch out a little and picked up these two skeins of mohair blends for another wrap:

Unfortunately, that resolution didn't last very long, however, because I couldn't leave without picking up some of this for a wrap for a friend for her birthday.

*sigh* Wonder if there's some kind of therapy for fibre mania that doesn't involve a visit from an armoured van and men in white coats...
